License Plate Co Lobbies for Two Plates on Every Car

Moved to Oregon and had to mount the second plate. Ohhh the pain of drilling holes in the front of the Grand Cherokee. I still have nightmares!

Too bad your CCL doesnā€™t receive the same courtesy.
ā€œOffer Void If Infringedā€

How does paying for production and distribution of two plates generate revenue for the state?

Generating increased fines for expired tags? Reducing court costs when a warning can replace a citation for a lost plate? Reducing payout of damage claims for throwing spike strips in front of the wrong car?

Oh, there are Jeep dealers in Oregon if you look hard enough.
DIY should be saved for enjoyable projects.

Front plates are there for LEOs and automated traffic enforcement (i.e., more tickets = revenue).

My view on CCL is probably slightly different than most peoplesā€™. I donā€™t think you should have to ask the state to carry a gun period.

Yeah. Thatā€™s the fact. I havenā€™t thought about this.
Front plate makes recognition much easier.

Iā€™m not sure about ā€œmost peopleā€ ā€” that may or may not be true. It is certainly true for a majority of gun-ban politicians, funders, and advocacy groups. In the USCCA community, Iā€™m pretty sure you will find a majority believe that ā€œshall not infringeā€ pretty much means what it says.
