Great looking revolver. From the ballistics research I did before getting a .22 revolver, it appears that .22 Magnum basically needs a full length rifle barrel to get the velocity advantage out of the larger powder load. From the tests I read, especially with short barrel handguns (e.g. snubby revolvers with 2" barrels), .22 LR and .22 Magnum had nearly identical bullet energy, but with .22 Magnum causing much more muzzle flash and noise.
Now, your revolver has a pretty long barrel, so it might be better at taking advantage of the extra powder and burn time, but either way, .22 revolvers are just plain fun. Congrats.
Is that a single stack magazine?
It is - 12 -round and the magazines are not as “inexpensive” as I hoped. Anyway, will or should make for cheaper training on the same platform as my EDC. Hopefully, it will get me back practicing a little more regular. Been too afraid to use what I may not can replace at least without selling off stuff.
It’s a 6.5” barrel (they make the model even longer up to 16”) , basically a $129 single action only revolver, gotta cock that hammer each shot.

That’s pretty long. That’s probably long enough to make a noticeable difference in .22 Mag over LR, but, like you say, anything that needs shooting with .22 magnum can also be shot with 9mm.
Anyway, have fun!
He’s wasting precious ammo doing that stupid point shooting like that ![]()
I think the ammo ends up costing about the same as a 9mm too.
First: I have to second the “Congrats”! That’s a nice little gun! I have a Ruger Single Six that I really do enjoy shooting.
Second: My single six has both .22LR and .22WMR wheels, and while both are fun, I leave the mag wheel in it because it is FAR more fun to shoot mainly because of how much more punch it has!!!
A LR into an 8oz water bottle full of sand will split one side and knock the bottle over,… maybe penetrating all the way, mostly not.
The Mag would blow them apart! The more graphic impact, plus being a bit louder and having just enough recoil to let you know it went off just puts a wider grin on my face!
Sounds like the 22WMR would be good for things larger than rabbits if you’re out in the country.
There’s some good first hand info with a long barrel revolver. Thanks brother.
I was just looking at these!
Hard not to with the price drops they get often.
You leaning towards one of the more flashy stocks?
Have you shot it yet?
Yes. The very next day actually. I was a little surprised at how well it handled, given my first experience with 45 ACP. Very little noticeable recoil, in fact I’d say it was less than our Staccato P I compared it to. Overall, love the fit / feel. Planning on taking my wife out and have her give it a go, see how she reacts.
On a side note, when I started my firearms journey, no one told me just how addicting it was. I go through withdrawals wanting to buy another… ![]()
