I’ve been mostly carrying the Ruger LC9s for many years. I got very interested in the new Max 9. A friend went to the range with me & I got to shoot his & I was instantly sold. I bought one this morning. Probably go to the range today to put a few hundred rounds through it. Feels good in my hand. Just need to get a grip sleeve because of my giant meat hooks. Has a 10 & 12 round magizine, fiber tritium front & is optic ready. Ordered the Ruger ready dot

You may be happier - grip wise - by replacing the entire grip module. Check out Wilson Combat and Ruger.

I had a pearce sleeve on my LC9S & it fit perfectly on the Max 9. But illlook i to it. Thanks for the tip

I have had every series of Ruger 9s from my P89 until my Max9. The only one missing was the Security 9 so I shot my friend’s last week. It is basically the same size & capacity as the Glock19 but $200 less. The sights are exactly the same. The grip texture is ample & it comes with two 15 round mags. I like the serrations & the grip angle is much like a 1911. The trigger has fairly long take up but a very crisp break. It’s hammer fired with an internal hammer. You have to completed rack the slide to dry fire. When you rack the slide, it pulls the hammer almost all the way back so pulling the trigger finishes the cycle. I like the crisp break & gun doesn’t move from the hammer firing. Overall, I like it. I’ll take it to the range today.
