Playing devils advocate here. Do we really know the rules of engagement here? Can those snipers open fire because a person looks suspicious or dangerous? Of course the situation matters but we don’t allow LEOs to open fire because s/he thinks something is going to happen. It sucks to give the would be assassin the edge here but as a general rule we don’t allow police, SS or other law enforcement to open fire on a hunch.
What I do fault them on is people giving credible warnings and the SS, local LEOs and state police do nothing. Their job, in this situation, is to put the protectee’s life above their own. Another Uvalde I think.

That building was supposed to be local LEO jurisdiction, so could the rifleman creeping up to the apex of the roof be a LEO counter sniper aware of a threat below you?
Or is he the assassin?
I’m sure there were local police inside the SS perimeter who were armed,…
What does that communication look like?
And how did that guy make it through it!?

New reporting a few minutes ago totally refutes that. Local LEOs (7 from Butler township PD) were tasked only with traffic control.

Not really…no. Like I said in another threat; I feel that I’m relieved of my oath because the people I swore it to have no honor nor allegiance to our country.

I don’t need legs, Put me on the ‘Eiger’ Roof slope w/ a Weatherby and Zeiss scope (we can use mine for now) I may not be a Sniper/Marksmen but @ 140 yards I can hit a man size target Every time.
At least I can discern a threat better than these fools.

IF, you pull a gun, not point a gun, on a cop you can and probably will get shot, many times. SO, this guy had a gun, assuming the SS Snipers saw the gun, so I would expect they could engage simply because he had a gun in his hand and was pointing it in the general direction of a lot of people. But that’s just me.
