It is really comfortable and secure. I have a Kimber Ultra carry 2 in .45 ACP.

Urban Carry has a great OWB locking holster. I have them for a few of my carry pistols. Never have I regretted the purchase. I can’t say that about other OWB holsters I bought

It’s been a while, but I got a great leather OWB leather holster for my Kimber 1911 from Safariland. Sorry, don’t recall the model number.

@David1673 Welcome to the community!

Although I don’t carry my 1911 (project), for my EDC I’ve been very happy with: Galco Fletch, as it hugs the grip closer to the body at 4-5 o’clock, horsehide Kramer “Belt Scabbard” holster that is very comfortable at 3-4 o’clock, and the horsehide Kramer “Vertical Scabbard” at 3 o’clock. I would think that the first two pancake styles would better disperse the weight across the belt for a 1911.
