Connecticut is very selective in who the will give a CCW permit to:

Their concern is the other states that allow owner/carrying with limited or no background checks will create an environment where visitors from other states can simply cross the border into Connecticut with no restrictions. When you are pulled over for a traffic violation in CT, the LEO already knows if you are a permitted carrying gun owner and will take necessary precautions to preserve their safety.

Ummm, ok. I am thinking you support Connecticut and it’s permitting processes. I personally don’t support any State’s permitting process as it is clearly stated that the RKBA shall not be infringed. So I barely support the Federal guidelines about felons not being allowed. While I don’t like that limitation I understand it. I think there should be limits and not a lifetime ban, especially in the case of non violent felony convictions. Anywho, the U.S. Constitution is the document that supercedes all State laws. I’m a big believer in States Rights, wherein, unless it is covered by the Constitution it is the State’s right to legislate it. However; Firearms are covered by the Constitution so, no State has the Right to legislate it.
Still waiting for how this administration is going to give women’s reproductive healthcare back to the states while telling the same states they don’t have the right to regulate the 2nd Amendment. Which is crazy because I cant wrap my head around denying a woman access to healthcare because it’s not explicitly written in the Constitution while access to firearms is explicitly not limited to citizens. The Federal Government for the longest time has allowed states to regulate the ownership of firearms to it’s citizens, it’s the only thing that has denied non-citizens from possessing a firearm without the states consent. And non-citizens can absolutely posses a firearm with the States consent.
