"Justa nutha Krazy day in Juneteenth City! (Oakland)

The violence broke out Wednesday night during an event at Lake Merritt that was largely peaceful (UNTIL 15 People GOT SHOT!), with as many as 5,000 in attendance, until a sideshow involving “motorbikes and vehicles” took place around 8:15 p.m. on the north side of the lake.

Paul Chambers, the police department’s strategic communications manager, said earlier that as officers tried to get the crowd to safety several people struck OPD officers.
(Can you say "You’re on your own?')

A street festival broke out during a gunfight!           More to follow!

Sounds like a pretty typical night in Oakland to me.

Seems like one of the suckier places in the U.S. to live. But I hear if you really need a job all you have to do is pay the Mayor’s husband a modest fee and the Mayor will hire you regardless of your qualifications.
