Just heard Biden is resigning and will announce Wednesday evening

Probably not due to incompetence. But they possibly/probably could be replaced by the VP after he has resigned.

No not resigning just not running for another term

Does it really matter at all if he resigns and if Harris assumes the position? Not at all. Neither one is running the country. Itā€™s Obama and his administration pulling the strings. Look at Bidenā€™s cabinet.

Probably, yes, but even Obama wonā€™t get behind Harris.

Rememberā€¦

Was Barrack speaking for Michael?

An offhand remark by President Obama at a private fundraiser in California has critics complaining that he shouldnā€™t have referred to Californiaā€™s top law enforcement officer, Attorney General Kamala Harris, as ā€œthe best-looking attorney general in the country.ā€ NBCā€™s Andrea Mitchell reports.

Oh he ainā€™t resigning, he got on TV and gave some stupid story about how he should pass the torch to save democracy, pllleeeaase. He got hit in the face with the numbers and new he was gonna get beat like a red headed step child so heā€™s gonna let that giggling idiot of a vice he picked because she was a woman plus another thing she has going for her so he could get two different sets of voters and he admitted that when he ran.

I wish that he would resign so America could have a few months of Harris and see what a disaster she would be.

I was honestly hoping heā€™d resign just so that we already get our first woman president, or black woman, or Indian woman, or whatever she identifies as (even if just 6 months), and donā€™t need to elect her to check that box. It might have dampened some enthusiasm among people who otherwise wouldnā€™t bother to turn out and vote.

Iā€™m worried about this. There are a ridiculous number of people in this country that would vote for absolutely anyone if they felt like they were ā€œpart of historyā€ and actually electing the first female president. Hell, look how close Hillary came. If a man with her history of corruption, crime and general incompetence had been running, heā€™d never even have made the ticket. Yet she got half the popular vote. They could put freaking Whoopie Goldberg on the ticket and get 80 mllion votes!

Between gender-race based voting and the democrats proven ability/willingness to cheat, weā€™re in real trouble here.

Personally, I canā€™t financially survive another four years of Bidenomics. Iā€™ve lost about half my net worth in the last 3 years and have had to push my planned retirement out about 5 years now. This canā€™t continue.

Back in 2012 or thereabouts I was planning to work into my 70s at a minimum. A Cpl years ago I was shopping at Kroger and the ā€œbag boyā€ was an 83 year old man! If it wasnā€™t for my medical health I would be working. Iā€™ve joined up with my son to learn how to play stock options. He found a guy online that has figured out how to play SPY, a S&P500 ETF. I know itā€™s a gamble and Iā€™m being very conservative. Made $700 this week. Saving for taxes!

Stock market can be fun to play but it is scary. I day traded for about 9 months while on a weekend shift at work. I made a lot more than what I made at work during that period. I quit because it stressed me out knowing all my savings were in that account and I could lose a bunch of what I had already worked for.

Yes, thatā€™s why Iā€™m being very conservative and only making my plays on the SPY. Schwab wants me to get line of margin. That is about as likely as raising the Titanic. I do expect loses that is why Iā€™m not spending more than $300 at a time. Iā€™m going to switch over to a different brokerage that charges 0.65 cents per option. Schwab wants to pigeon hole me and change me more for day trading.

Youā€™re exactly right, it takes some balls of steel to sit and watch the clock tick down and youā€™re still in the red.

After making good money day trading for a couple of months with my own money, the trading company said I could borrow as much money as I had in my account each day, but it had to be paid back by end of day. Worked out great for quite a while until I had to take off out of town and couldnā€™t watch the stocks all the time. $10K down the drain in one day!

Ouch that hurt and I feel your pain. Getting a line of margin is a shell game. The brokerage knows you will fumble at some point and will pull out the big green weeny on you. I am in a good position right now. The wife has an excellent job, Iā€™m on disability and have all day every day to watch. I garden after the markets close.

Iā€™m starting with $1200 in my new account and if I lose it all it wonā€™t be too bad.

Edit: I am working to a plan. Small bets until the account is larger, have set goals before I make larger bets and only play the SPY following this guy online. It takes discipline and patience which many today donā€™t have.

Thatā€™s the way to do it. Always play smart. Donā€™t let greed get in your way. I started with 5K at the end of 9 months I had 72K. It was profitable but it was scary. At the end I was buying and selling for a 2 cent gain or taking short positions. It gets to be a trip when you have both on your board. Be careful, watch closely, and study up. It is a he11 of a ride but can turn out as bad as it can good. Do well.

Roger That, I had 38-K in my SD box when Bitem got in and now I think I have two hundred dollar bills in the Crown Royal bag. I use a safety deposit box because interest doesnā€™t exist anymore and like my guy at my bank said because I already was taxed to heck & back on my money and I asked him about putting it in a box and he said ā€œ only you and God know whatā€™s in that boxā€ lol, for $ 37 a year I can go for that plus I have a few lbs. of silver in there to. Iā€™m mad as h311 about having to get into that money and itā€™s simply because everything has gone sky- high from groceries to utility bills, heck a stamp is gonna be 70 cents soon and thatā€™s nuts.

I think Mike likes to get behind Barryā€¦

Amen to that. I was always taught to have a plan and stick to it. As a former manager once told me: the plan is the plan until you change the plan. It was straight out of Dilbert, lol.
