A quote from my wife today when I got home. It’s hot as blazes right now, but I knew if I went a bit West and a bit up I could answer my wife’s “you hiking today?” in the affirmative. Off to Dolly Sods, a former WWII era munitions training ground turned into a hiking/hunting mecca in the Monongahela National Forest. Finished the hike, and got into cell service where my handy dandy Bluetooth Tacoma played a message from “City” hall. . My ccw permit was ready. I applied 16 days ago, had a copy of my NRA pistol certification from 2015, and $25… today I got my permit at the cost of another $25, but the $50 gets refunded at tax time..this permit eliminates the FFL background check as hey, you’re already approved! When I moved from CT, I had CT, FL, and UT. CT required notification of the move within 48 hours, and TMI imo for me to bother. Not going back anyways. UT was expiring a few months ago, and required my having an in state permit, so let that expire. FL good for another year and a half, but figured it’d be good to get my WV. Looked into MD, but decided it’s another state that’ll remain in the rearview. Ridiculous requirements imo… Lady at town hall gave me my permit and a paper with the relevant information and my signature, said if I lose my permit that having this will get me a new one, free of charge. Constitutional carry state, but I do believe I may hit a lgs, just to experience that instant purchase feeling
