As I do not smoke and do not have any close friends that do, I had never heard the reference 420 until recently. I believe it is/was a code section in California law, or one of the “high” states. No, I do not foresee partaking in any “celebration” of the date.
In my younger days I knew many people who, if they were alive or not incarcerated today would have dozens of competing theories regarding the origin of 420. Alas, addiction doesn’t fight fair.
Safety First!
Doobage is something I have never tried. How does it impact concealed-carry in North Carolina? It’s against the law to carry a firearm while under the influence of a controlled substance. Period.
With what is still illegal, regardless of what any state claims. Also, they still only “allow” a certain amount. Read the ATF regulations, and state laws on possession of Marijuana and firearms.
I do not know what state you live in, but most states match federal law with possession of Marijuana and a firearm. Not that that matters, as federal law applies regardless of what state you are in, and possession of Marijuana will get you a felony if you are also in possession of a firearm.
I am not arguing with you, but clarifying that is not once illegal, it still is illegal.
I mean if you want to nitpick it’s also illegal for high school kids to concealed carry.
Michigan only allows legal recreational use for those over 21, so kids using is still illegal. However at the time I remember these things it was just illegal for all to use. Hence my saying “once illegal”.
Obviously my post had nothing to do with carrying a firearm and pot. It was a reply to what someone else mentioned.
What i posted was a reply to a slightly off topic comment. You took it out of context with the intention of “correcting mistakes” that actually just came off as condescending bulls**t.
There is literally no way anyone can go back and read my original comment as saying it’s legal to use marijuana and carry a firearm without having the intelligence and mental acuity of a potato. Therefore you either went full “potato” or you were deliberately ignoring the real context of the post to start an argument. Either way, this is my last post with regards to you.
Interestingly, you do not want an argument, but are now personally attacking me. You made an incorrect statement and I corrected it. It is still illegal, regardless of what the state(s) claim or you wish or believe. It is also illegal in those states to have over whatever amount they decide they will not arrest you for, as well as it being illegal, by federal law, and most state law, to possess Marijuana and a firearm - both felony charges.
I did not take anything out of context, I clarified your statement. There are many people that do not understand the state laws, as they believe it to be “legal”, which it is not. You seem to belong to that group based on your comment about it being “once illegal”.
I use to smoke many many 30 years ago, I would advise anybody that own a weapon do not smoke and do not drink for it impairs your judgment on anything, it is also the new justification for probable cause to be searched
