Itā€™s great to have a woman that doesnā€™t mind the mindset people like you and I/ us on here. Thatā€™s almost priceless, donā€™t gripe when you buy some ammo and stuff

My cab is about the same size. Itā€™s beyond time to buy a safe for the plinkers and keep the cab for the ammo. Needs more shelving first, though. Nice of the little lady to say that to you. Sheā€™s a keeper! (as if you didnā€™t already know)

Welcome Brother. R was complaining about the imprints in the carpet created by the bottom of my ammo boxes. I went totally defensive/passive and apologized, then realized I missed a great chance to get a bigger safe and, well we know what goes with a bigger safeā€¦

I have some ammo in the safe, multiple safes in three sates but lots of ammo in the closets. Ammo is relatively cheap compared with fire arms.
Also, I have sate of the Art security so the excess ammo sits in the closet.
Suggest investing in security rather than a larger safeā€¦ IMHOI

I use a similar ā€œgun safeā€ (ha, ha) for my current ammo supply. I think that I got it at Cabelaā€™s. I made wood shelves for it so I could put them in order. (This is left from my days in the Peopleā€™s Republic of MA when everything had to be under lock & key.)

My ā€œextraā€ ammo is in plastic ammo ā€œcansā€ with absorbers and labels on the outside. They are also in order by caliber. (I canā€™t help it.)

Is it a good idea to keep all your ammo ( eggs ) in one location or would it be better to split the armory 1/2 guns and ammo in one location and strategically 1/2 in another :question:

That would depend on how secure your first basket is compared to your second basket. Ideally I would want all my eggs split up between equally secure baskets. But if I only had one secure basket then I would rather keep all the eggs there instead of keeping some others in a location where they can easily be stolen by hungry predators.

Well I just bought the Winchesters twin. Now Iā€™ve got two safes and an ammo cabinet.I bought the second Winchester used for 250. Itā€™s identical to the other one. Couldnā€™t pass that deal up. Now Iā€™ve got options.

I have two, 4 drawer lockable steel File Cabinets that work great for the freedom seeds.
