If the people in charge and the current administration refuse to defend
the Constitution how can we be sure it’s safe?

When I raised my right hand and swore an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” , little did I know or even thought that the domestic enemy looking to circumvent and/or destroy the constitution would occupy the White House and Congress as well as the Justice Department and three letter agencies. Yet, I am still proud of my country and my service to it in the United States Marine Corps with 2 combat tours in Vietnam.

Answer to the OP Question. NO, not at the moment. Every time a Leftist of Rightist judge legislates from the bench. Every time a President issues an Executive Order. Every time a Government agency is allowed to treat regulations like the rule of law. Every time American Tax Dollars go off shore to fund or support anything that the American people didn’t vote for. Any time a Prosecutor files charges as an experiment/challenge to our God Given Rights. Yea every time our “leaders” do anything to “interpret” or anything other than support and uphold our Constitutional Rights our Constitution Is Not Safe.

It’s not safe. It’s dead. Just look at the millions of people who, every single day, willingly line up at airports for a 4th Amendment violating warrantless search of their persons by government agents for the illusion of security.
They can’t be trusted. The salient question is what individuals are personally prepared to do about it. The answer for the vast majority of the population is “Nothing, 'cause it’s too hard or I might get in trouble or I have a knot in my shoelace right now.”

You may want to turn on a TV, radio or some such social media outlet. In any event, the Dems keep screaming it’s a fight for “democracy”, I’m here to throw a flag on that! There unyielding violence currently effecting this country is in an effort to change this nation from a REPUBLIC to a socialist dumpster!
We were the greatest model of civilization on the planet! Not perfect but why is every dumpster rat fleeing in our direction, I’ve never seen 600 people on a dingy risking their lives to get to Venezuela? If it’s so bad in Mexico, why not migrate south? I hear the weather is the same and they speak the same language!
It’s not just the 2A we’re fighting for. It’s that it was put in place for two reasons, mind you I’m no scholar, the first was to abolish the government we’re currently living under, the “SECOND” reason, the 2nd AMENDMENT is written in stone is to preserve the rights that make us who we are!
Don’t look now, but Hamas is on our doorstep! A fight for our “rights” IS a fight for our life! Don’t be fooled by that green bandanna! There are plenty of depictions all of which mean the removal of all Jews from the earth, who is next when they are done? That’s a fight for life, without the 2A that’s where we would be right now!
Wait…look out your window, someone, somebody or some group has a bead on you! Whether that be a low life stealing your car or a gang turning your neighborhood into a trash pile or a brigade of hellbent sickos that don’t believe in your rights to exist as a human being.
Not sure how to put this, but you’re/your picking up that rifle for a reason, the fact that we can is why most of us are still alive. But something drove you to pick it up, maybe someone burned down your church, perhaps some mad scientist wanted to put something in your body as an experiment knowing it might kill you, possibly someone came to take a loved one as a slave, or you have red hair and you don’t deserve to live…there are so many more examples that could make you pick up a weapon in defense of your rights to do so, however, more important it’s your life that you relish!
You don’t think the Israelis are picking up rifles to protect the right to pick up that rifle, do you, ? they are fighting for real lives, not rights! Well maybe the right to LIVE

Something that most people don’t know is that in order for an AMEDMENT TO BE GOTTING RID OF, CHANGED, OR ADDED HAS TO BE RATIFIED BY 3/4 OF THE STATES FOR IT TO BECOME LAW. And at this point in time there are not that many states that will ratify any ADMENDMENT TO GET RID OF THE 1st or 2A. But sorry to say the ANTI-GUNNERS in Congress and the White House just seem to forget this simple fact. And that is because they don’t know what the U.S. Constitution says what they can or cannot do.

Surely you jest! The previous administration kept a modicum of checks and balances! The current “regime” is on a literal suicide mission, and we don’t have the luxury of jumping off the derailed train!
How many terrorists were chanting kill Jews during the Trump administration, how many wars were taking place during Trump, how many illegals entered the country under Trump? I would go on but I don’t want to bore you with how well the system was working!
There’s a sickness in this administration, it’s truly felonious!
