Yesterday - Thursday - Iran executed the first protestor they’ve arrested. A 22-year-old who stabbed a policeman was tried, convicted, and hanged, with at least seven more scheduled for the same. FYI
I mean, if he actually stabbed a police officer, then I doubt he was executed for protesting.
Can never really tell in Iran, though.
On other shores this happened. While we take our freedoms for granted, other societies don’t play.
They deal swifty and harshly. If your sentence is death, look for it soon. Not 10 years and millions of dollars later. I’m not saying it’s right; I’m not saying it’s wrong. I’m saying, it’s not America.
Something about swift justice, though. If it was a mistake, too late. Is it effective? I don’t know, people keep committing crimes. One thing is for certain: without just cause, I never plan on being a test subject.
