Anytime you go to the California Socialist Republic, you’re entering a “crap storm”.
Thanks for the info. It’s always good to remind ourselves and train even in activities we do daily. Vehicles are large responsibilities and can get you into trouble as well as out of trouble.
Blessings…
Fellow driver here USCCA member Haven’t had any problems yet have pretty much been coast to coast and border to border just be careful…Tim
Welcome! If you’re not from California, be aware that they don’t honor any other states carry permit. Check the uscca reciprocity map for laws from all the states you travel through.
Here is another site with violent crime happenings:

No data reported for the St. Louis, MO area. I don’t blame them .
Welcome to the community! Be safe out there
Do not hesitate to ditch a truck to save your life. Pack and carry a go bag in the cab which you can just grab and bail if need be. Try to work out a deal with someone you trust for good reasons to drop everything and come get you whenever and wherever if you call/text. It’s getting sporty everywhere.
As I studied American history I was always impressed that in this nation we could go through a civil war and not reign terror on the loosing armies or territories, rather we could become fellow citizens again with a national patriotism. I guess I was wrong. It was just delayed. It’s heartbreaking that our politicians have become so hungry for power that the good of the citizens no longer matter except to a select few. The Taliban destroyed their heritage too. I long for the days of “from sea to shining sea” and “Crown thy self in self control, thy liberty in law.”
You can get a police scanner app for your smart phone, or listen to the traffic news on the radio. Blocking 101 seems to be a “thing” in LA
Parts of LA have long been bad news.
My favorite deep sea fishing rod used to be Sabres, manufactured in Carson.
In hopes of getting a deal from the factory for a new rod, I went in search driving my GMC with out of town license plate frames.
A police cruiser sneaked up behind me and over the loudspeaker I heard “LEAVE THE AREA NOW!”
So I did.
BTW Sabre went out of business and I never did get that rod,
Hello my name is Al and I’m new to the community and A first time gun owner and hope to learn more about safety and to do and what not to do and just in general conversation glad to be here
Welcome to the family brother and you are blessed to be here.
Jeff-A1,
I lived up in the Beltway area for 8 years. I still tell folks that I firmly believe that 8 years on the Washington Beltway took more out of me than 20 years of doing the Ricky Rescue thing in the Coast Guard.
