Importance of self control

Another reason not to shop at Dollar stores.

Nothing to worry about if you are paying for the stuff

How about this?
The deceased could’ve benefited from self-control.

Would you say the onlookers practiced self-control?

Sad state of society.

Tell me about it! My favorite - psycho parents on little kids’ playground. You can see those you better not say anything about their kids’ misbehaving.

This is a tricky topic, because even though none of us want to start a confrontation, we tacitly approve of misbehavior when we do nothing about it. They used to say in the Army that if you see something wrong and fail to correct it, then you’ve just set the new standard. I think that’s true of society, in general. If there’s a punk-ss kid on the playground and no one correct him because they’re afraid of the punk-ss psycho parents, then what we’re saying is that it’s now acceptable to act like a punk-ss kid on a playground.

Also, the Starbucks tweet was dead on. No one is coming to save you. The Bystander Effect has been well documented in many high-profile incidents, over the years.

You are not wrong, but I am not teaching anyone parenting skills, or basic social skills at the expense of going to the hospital or prison.
