It seems you are not impressed with us Jack. As you have not responded to any of my replies on this forum negatively, I will not respond to you negatively. It would not be civilized.
Personally I don’t care what your political orientation is. Doesn’t mean a thing to me. What does mean something to me is you being on an obviously Pro 2nd Amendment forum. By you being here, I can only assume you are in some way a Pro 2nd Amendment supporter also.
The 2nd Amendment is a highly sensitive subject here as it is one thing that binds all of us here together. We have different political views, different religious views, we all carry different weapons, different holsters, different calibers, etc…
We argue back and forth on some of the stupidest subject matter and some of those arguments do tend to get heated. It happens. We are only human, after all. We try to see the points others are trying to make but sometimes we are blinded by our own beliefs. “My/Our way is the ONLY way, and everyone else is stupid.” That just doesn’t hold water.
Most times I try to keep a fairly level head in my responses and usually I do pretty good, I think. Others may have a different opinion. That is their prerogative.
While I am on the subject of prerogatives, I would like to discuss yours for a moment, specifically your prerogative to join and participate in the antics of this forum. I hope you joined the USCCA initially to get the insurance and training provided to ensure your safety and the safety of others around you if you get into a situation where you need to use your weapon to defend yourself or someone else.
That is why I joined, then I found this forum.
You are correct in your statement that most of the information here is driven by a single collective ideology to defend ourselves and others. It has nothing to do with our political or religious beliefs. It has nothing to do with I have a 9mm and you have a .45ACP.
It just doesn’t matter because we all, you included, I hope, want to protect ourselves and others. We want to be the Sheep Dogs, and we are tired of the criminal element having the upper hand and good guys going to jail.
I am an active member on the forum, but I don’t respond to every chat I read because I may not be interested in the topic, or I don’t agree with it or I have nothing pertinent to add. I have posted a few questionable replies which have rubbed other readers the wrong way, but I try to post them in a way not to do that. Kinda like carrying in a manner to cause alarm. We try not to do that.
Take this advice as you see fit, Sir. Pretend the different chat topics on this forum are songs on the radio. If you don’t like the song, change the station on the radio. It is as simple as that.
Another piece of advice concerns where you hang out. Nowhere specific, just someplace fictitious. If you go there and people continually respond negatively to you, would you continue to go there? I would not. If you do not enjoy the response this forum has given you, my advice to you is to leave and simply enjoy the benefits provided with your USCCA membership.
We, or most of us, would truly hate to see you go.
