I want to know why USCCA is allowing this forum to be a venue for misinformation and hate?

When my son died, my wife of 42 years said to me, teary eyed “please don’t die before me.” I’m doing what I can to stay fit and healthy (avoid doctors and the industry), and may be in for a long haul. We moved to a very free state (West by God), it’s the two of us, thankfully great neighbors, and the wife does senior social services which may end up being a godsend.

@Ron43xMOS … coming home in the motorhome two Mays ago with my son’s belongings in my motorhome and his ashes in the urn on the passenger seat, I realized I was going to be putting the bird feeders back up. It’s hard to be optimistic these days, I’m really glad to be where I am after this move, surrounded seemingly by the God, guns and family types, but the country and world makes optimism difficult. I find joy instead, and watching the birds, rabbits, Gods little critters brings my wife and I joy these days. No politics, no deep thoughts, just a little peep looking for bugs, or a bunny helping me mow the grass.

Saw them 4 times in concert. Have all of their recordings. But I am going to make a wild guess here… I’ll bet you live in Indiana… home of the original use of yepper!

This is an amazing group of people. Reading this thread reminded me of that just now. Life can be very rough on us, but it gives me hope to see such good people holding on and caring for others. I’m going through my own rough patch (actually much of my adult life had been a rough patch ) but even just this little bit of sharing on this board reminds me that the world is still full of good people, doing good things, and that helps. My wife said to me last night as we were falling asleep, “good night. Wake up in the morning.” I sit here this morning with good coffee, looking out at the beautiful green trees hearing birds and cicadas, and I’m glad I did what she said. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks.

unfortunately we live in a world filled with misinformed angey people.

Just know there are many more caring people with good common sense too.

Just follow similar people then your life will be much more enjoyable.

I have noticed that is you say anything counter to the right wing view point, they come out like a pack of coon hounds barking in mass, but when they don’t have a fresh scent, they are pretty quiet on this forum. Don’t give them a fresh scent to go after!

These forums are 99% ideology driven and facts don’t mean anything. You will be outnumbered 20 to 1 (right vs left) and setting yourself up to be verbally accosted. It’s probably best to stay off these forums and just use the USCCAs other resources.

You forgot to say, to you. We provide a lot of facts, you have yet to do so, even when specifically requested. You even lied about what I have stated and then never apologized. A real man would apologize when shown to be a bold-faced liar, unless you have no shame and are a liar at heart.

It seems you are not impressed with us Jack. As you have not responded to any of my replies on this forum negatively, I will not respond to you negatively. It would not be civilized.

Personally I don’t care what your political orientation is. Doesn’t mean a thing to me. What does mean something to me is you being on an obviously Pro 2nd Amendment forum. By you being here, I can only assume you are in some way a Pro 2nd Amendment supporter also.

The 2nd Amendment is a highly sensitive subject here as it is one thing that binds all of us here together. We have different political views, different religious views, we all carry different weapons, different holsters, different calibers, etc…

We argue back and forth on some of the stupidest subject matter and some of those arguments do tend to get heated. It happens. We are only human, after all. We try to see the points others are trying to make but sometimes we are blinded by our own beliefs. “My/Our way is the ONLY way, and everyone else is stupid.” That just doesn’t hold water.

Most times I try to keep a fairly level head in my responses and usually I do pretty good, I think. Others may have a different opinion. That is their prerogative.

While I am on the subject of prerogatives, I would like to discuss yours for a moment, specifically your prerogative to join and participate in the antics of this forum. I hope you joined the USCCA initially to get the insurance and training provided to ensure your safety and the safety of others around you if you get into a situation where you need to use your weapon to defend yourself or someone else.

That is why I joined, then I found this forum.

You are correct in your statement that most of the information here is driven by a single collective ideology to defend ourselves and others. It has nothing to do with our political or religious beliefs. It has nothing to do with I have a 9mm and you have a .45ACP.

It just doesn’t matter because we all, you included, I hope, want to protect ourselves and others. We want to be the Sheep Dogs, and we are tired of the criminal element having the upper hand and good guys going to jail.

I am an active member on the forum, but I don’t respond to every chat I read because I may not be interested in the topic, or I don’t agree with it or I have nothing pertinent to add. I have posted a few questionable replies which have rubbed other readers the wrong way, but I try to post them in a way not to do that. Kinda like carrying in a manner to cause alarm. We try not to do that.

Take this advice as you see fit, Sir. Pretend the different chat topics on this forum are songs on the radio. If you don’t like the song, change the station on the radio. It is as simple as that.

Another piece of advice concerns where you hang out. Nowhere specific, just someplace fictitious. If you go there and people continually respond negatively to you, would you continue to go there? I would not. If you do not enjoy the response this forum has given you, my advice to you is to leave and simply enjoy the benefits provided with your USCCA membership.

We, or most of us, would truly hate to see you go.

You have a stalker then. Single him out and report him. Or you could admit defeat and allow him to win. That choice is also yours.

Personally, I would go the hard way and destroy him publicly.

Towards the rest of us, please have an open mind. Most of us genuinely do wish to help wherever help is requested and though our political/religious/brand/caliber views vary, most here will keep an open mind.

Beware, the conversations do get spirited.

I was in the Air Force, so I only wore the combat boots in basic training and technical school. After I got to my first permanent duty station, I was allowed to wear flip flops and Bermuda shorts.

NOT!!!

Craig got it. Just a troll. And to the OP, so 2nd A is ok but 1st A should be strictly regulated?!?!?!?

That is so stupid that it bears no further attention. You don’t need to be a member of the forum to enjoy all the great membership benefits that the USCCA gives you, IF in fact you are a member, which I strongly doubt.

I think some in here confuse the “right wing viewpoint” with just being rabidly pro 2a. Sadly, when given only 2 options, you end up with people with opposing viewpoints. When one side openly calls for the incarceration and destruction of those who follow the 2a, you’re going to get a very vocal response to those in this community opposed to it. Does it bleed over into other talking points targeted by each side? sure, but that’s just human nature, and the type of individuals that you find are rabidly 2a are typically conservative in values. I don’t hold anything against anyone who approaches a conversation with good intentions. When people immediately launch attacks against a given group in their very first post, its going to get dragged. Sadly, too many people have enclosed themselves in their own echo chambers and don’t honestly want to have a conversation anymore, they just want to hear their own viewpoints regurgitated back at them for personal confirmation. Its when people stop talking that political violence follows.
