I’ve seen similar comments elsewhere. Am I the only one who joined USCCA for the insurance and network of lawyers? Long ago, I enjoyed reading Concealed Carry magazine. But becoming a member was all about insurance & lawyers, not a forum. There are plenty of forums out there that are totally free.

First off, sorry about your friend. It’s a shame how life plays out sometimes.
Next, you (and many others on this forum) reinforce why I belong to such groups. It’s enjoyable to ‘get to know’ you and others by seeing the different insights brought to the table. I don’t always agree with thoughts presented, but they make me think and consider where those insights are coming from.

When my Wife (another of God’s Angels) would see life take a dump on me (or us)
She would help the recovery by singing KANSAS’ “Carry on my wayward Son”
(she had a great voice—a little Ann Wilsony w/ a touch of Lita Ford
(actually looked like Annie w/ Jet Black hair after she retired from the Service
she grew out her short hair and it got all flowy like hers too.
Marvelous specimen of the Female Gender (and MAN was she ALL Female!) Youch!
Hurt to look at her (in a great way). Another gone way too soon.

When the guy struck a glancing blow to my face (I thought ‘Tis but a scratch’ from Python) because we were just having a Meme fest on a thread and then I went out to wash my ride so that must have been playing in a loop in my head—I actually chuckled after he hit me which surprised him almost as much as when I picked him up and threw him onto the Stainless Garbage can Island! It was like a Ah Ha ha ha! Moment! I knew you guy’s would have cheered!
So knock this Forum, site, whatever I Love it here. I learn lot’s of sh**, Tell stories and hopefully ONE Gunner gets ONE thing they could use like I did!.
This ISN’T just a Bull lesson here. Valuable Gunner/SA/ SD stuff happens daily, Current events are hashed out, discussed.
Perfect Example is President Trump’s Assassination attempt. We got down to the nitty Gritty there. We sifted threw the BS, Media Mob’s garbage and found out stuff by going to Gateway Pundits, Western Journal etc sites. Not Msn.com of MSCommieNBC.
I don’t know about ANYBODY else but that was just too damn close to losing our Greatest President and YES I can feel safe and Comfortable here saying that.
So, Join in, Pull up a Keyboard and engage (or not) this is 'merica! and you are free to choose what to say, where to say it and not get hammered. If you are Green and live under a Bridge you will get FEEDBACK for that also. It’s only fair.

I think you hit the nail on the head here brother. I think you put your finger on one of the biggest problems in society today. Most of us, most of the time, live for ourselves. (I’m guilty, too. Not pointing fingers.) Not to get preachy, but we weren’t created to live for ourselves.

I have a lifetime membership with the NRA. I am personally disappointed with them. They allowed the President of the NRA to abuse his position and treat all of the NRA’s dues paying members like his personal ATM and it would have never stopped until the Courts made it stop. So until I see some good, long term advocacy decisions and financial management decisions I will make my 2A donations and memberships to GOA, FPC, and a few other organizations. The NRA will have to show it can be trusted again. I understand people who are pro or anti NRA. I’m going to wait and see.
No disrespect meant to any who are pro or anti NRA.
