I have the equivalent of gold

Not as good as what I’m used to…9mm - +P 124 Grain HST JHP - Federal Premium Law Enforcement. I found the Magnums online at 1:30 this morning. Something is better than nothing. I now have an additional 200 opportunities to stop a threat.

That looks like the Speer I buy from Target Sports USA. They wrap it like that every time I order from them.

I agree 100%. That brass in my chamber is worth more than the gold in my pocket.

No kidding, I have seen Remington 870’s go from 300 all the way up to 8/900 now. Some places even more. 300% increase is astounding and people are paying it.

I have a cross bow and bow and arrow as absolute fail-safes.

Words can not describe just how beautiful that pallet of ammo is.:drooling_face::drooling_face:

I can’t find Hornady critical defense JHP ANYWHERE. And if I do find it it’s like $40 for a box of 25… Ammo is getting painful on my wallet, but it’s worth the investment.

A local gun shop owner was telling me how he keeps an eye on ammo on say, Gunbroker, or some of the other places. Profiteers are selling say, 1000 primers for 400.00, that’s 40.00 for a box of 100 primers, !!! or say, 200 .223 Horniday rounds for 350.00 ! Guns too , he tells me of a guy who bought a mid grade, nothing fancy AR but had to pay 3000.00 for it in the next state over. yet , if you know where to go, you can still sometimes find normal prices and ammo.

It all makes hand loading and bullet casting seem a whole lot more worth the trouble.

That practice issue is the one most troubling I think. Especially for new shooters. But I suppose it’s not like we have not had a few warning rounds of this already. That good self defense ammo though, even before the whole thing started, was getting pretty rough. 20 rounds for more than a 50 round box of fmj’s would cost. And you still have to put several 10’s of rounds through your gun just to verify functional reliability. Believe it or not, sometimes a good gun does not work with some of the top tier ammo! Makes it like 100.00 to try a new brand, and then you still have to buy duty ammo!

Hopefully it will not come to that! Though some would love to see us relegated to sticks and rocks for defense, Unless I have that wrong and they simply want to make self defense it self illegal. Sometimes I do wonder.

@BubbaBear917 on July 2 I found

for $0.86 per round. I haven’t found any since then. The Magtech rounds I found online are ideal for the range. That said, get what you can get, when you can get it!

Well, if you have a firearm that you may not wish to own any longer, now is the time to sell.
