I Didn't Do It - Not Guilty Your Honor

"West Valley police checked Totten’s Facebook page “and found he made several posts stating he couldn’t believe he wasn’t arrested yet, a picture of the same items that were found in the packages”

Now let’s watch him plead Not Guilty

Of course he will.

Any citizen accused of a crime should hold the government to its burden.

Yea I guess personal accountability doesn’t matter much these days.

Not clear what personal accountability has to do with the right to a presumption of innocence and the government’s burden of demonstrating proof beyond a reasonable doubt…

He’s an equal opportunity terrorist if he targeted both 45/47 and 46.

“The package had the words “FBI” and “ISIS” written on it”

“contained miscellaneous items, including used spark plugs,”

"another package was found at a church at 4251 S. 4800 West that also had the words “FBI” and “ISIS Safe”

"“miscellaneous items, including a letter to Donald Trump from ‘Eagle Eye.’”

“Using fingerprints collected from the packages, detectives linked both incidents to Totten”

“and found he made several posts stating he couldn’t believe he wasn’t arrested yet, a picture of the same items that were found in the packages and said he ‘shipped some stuff to Donald Trump,’”

"Police also found posts where Totten allegedly refers to himself as “Prince of Isis” and “Eagle Eye.”

And The Winner IS…

“(He) also wrote a letter stating he would turn himself in, gave specific coordinates of a military installation and the results would be cataclysmic,”

Yes Sir, Presumed Innocent until proven guilty… By his own Words, Actions and Admissions.

It’s complicated, considering morality and that this guy’s mind is fried:

Whether a confession from an individual with a mental illness is admissible in court hinges primarily on the voluntariness of the confession and the suspect’s competency to waive their Miranda rights.
Somebody somewhere is going to argue that the confession is inadmissible. Either way, I see a bright future for him as a democrat party spokesman as soon as they release him for lack of evidence.

Sounds like the government should have an easy job.

Doesn’t shift the burden.

That I agree with, the burden of proof is on the Prosecution (Government). He Does Not have to prove himself innocent.

Depends on what court your tried in. Nowadays it seems like burden of proof falls on the defendant. Some crimes it seems like your automatic guilty…

Just had a case here that the guy had to prove innocent since media and people had him automatically found guilty. Mistrial and no plans to retry the case.

If one don’t make one them there will not be one.

This is easy, no need to try him for this … He suffer from a mental disorder. Have the court check for mental competence … Then ship him off to the nut house… They can hold him forever, since it seems his mother never did..
