In Florida we have Road Rangers that are working for the state that can offer assistance at no charge. I would call them for the person but I don’t know I would stop as we have way to many crazy things going on these days.

I’ve stopped loads of times in the past, lately not so much.
I do still keep my tow straps and emergency blankets in my truck, not just for self rescue.
I suppose it depends on the situation, last time I stopped was because I had witnessed the accident happen right in front of me.
Tire changer on the side of the road? Probably not stopping,….. trying to push a stall out of traffic, I might stop and offer a tow strap

As long as stopping doesn’t involve me needing to make any sudden, erratic or otherwise potentially dangerous moves, and stopping won’t increase the danger of the situation as a whole, I stop every time.
I have a decent tool kit, two fire extinguishers, a collapsible hydraulic jack, a large first aid kit, tow straps, and other supplies that could be used depending on the situation. If I think that I can be of assistance, I’ll happily provide it.

If its someone with the hood open, or changing a tire, no way. There is way too high a probability for that to be a setup. Everyone has cell phones, and tow trucks are available.
If I’m the first person to come upon a wreck, or I witness it, then yes, I’m staying around and helping if I can. I’ve witnessed a few bad crashes over the years where people were hurt. In two cases the injured were children. In both cases the best I could do was calm the parent while we waited for an ambulance. In one case I was an important witness where a woman in a mercedes ran a stop sign at high speed and slammed into a pickup, badly hurting the girl in the passenger seat. The Mercedes driver was on her phone and refused to even roll down her window after the crash, let alone check on her victim. I was more than happy to tell the police, then the insurance companies, exactly what I saw, and I hope the girl and her family got a nice settlement.

Not so much any more.
It’s getting to the point where stopping to assist can get you in a lawsuit or robbed, injured or dead on the side of the road.

I do if I have the time. If I don’t stop someone else will. If it is an emergency I will stop.

Stranded: No. I would proceed to a safe place and call 911. Injured: If alone, I would likely risk it (after calling 911).

Mostly in the winter, we have a bunch of Californians moving in here, they have no idea what to do in snow or mud. We’ve pulled out a lot of Beamers…

ONLY if I know that someone or if they’re family members. If I got stranded, I take care of my own business with AAA and other road/travel assistance (GoodSams for RV’ers ) that has coverage across the country. Even if you get stranded on the side of the road, anyone pulling over to check on you for any help COULD be someone that is up to no good as well. Situational Awareness! Highway robbery, rape, kidnapping, murder.

I have stopped and helped.every single person Broken Down and I carry gasoline oil tools jacks if I Don’t have it you Don’t need it It’s Dangerous but just think about if it’s your kid or woman and I can help I have an extra iPhone jump starter air compressor tow straps . And I don’t mind. You all would Be very surprised how many people that I have stopped for telling me only the GREAT SPIRIT Could have had me coming their way and stop and how much they truly appreciate what I Did for them and I never take money I just tell them help someone else how ever they can !! I stopped for a family who said they had AAA. Coming an I said it’s gettin Dark and this was a family of five man three girls. Very nice vehicle. I said no problem and got there tire changed just as it was dark and still no AAA.? And that man tried to pay me after I said I was Doing this for a Blessin finally I told him send 20 dollars to stjude. He had it Done before he Drove off . And he said had I went on they would have to stuck in the middle of the highway on a very Dark night his vehicle cost more than my House. But I got my Blessings as you all who have prayed for me and Debbie Ann Love Bobby Jean Twofeathers. Bless you all This is the Lords Day Rejoice and be Glad in it. Sir. I stopped for a old man walking Down 287, in new boots and a suit and it was very hot so I dropped off Debbie Ann and went and picked up the man who was very happy to see me I turned around and took him to his vehicle that turned out to be a hearse he had ran out of gas and his iPhone had died and I had my five gallon gas tank full and I put the gas in and I had my phone charger and he had a 17 year old girl in the Back in her coffin 
and he said had I not had as much gas as I did the fuel pump wouldn’t have picked up the gas to start the limousine hearse and I had to jump it kaz the flashers had ran down the battery . He said no one would stop an help I gave him my number to call me if he had any more problems the next day he called me and asked was I an angel. Seriously WTF. Was I an ANGEL . I said that we the nicest thing ever said to me and I told him no sir. I had just came through HELL . Seriously Love Bobby Jean and Debbie Ann Twofeathers . Thanks for your prayers and support I have gotten my miracle you all know thanks so very much truly truly Amen
