I admire his integrity in this clip. That doesn’t mean I know much of anything about him or what he may stand for. But his concession speech is

This is probably my biggest concern about this great Republic that we live in. The growing inability of our political parties to even engage in debate without it turning into acrimonious rhetoric and it’s my way or no way attitude.
I’m not confident that our political parties were ever interested in debate. For as long as I’ve been paying attention, their sole purpose has been to gain and retain power. Loyalty to country comes a distant second or third.
That said, I think you’re right. I recently saw something on YouTube from a debate champion who lamented the lost art of public argument in our society.
