Apparently, I collect Subarus. This arrived recently. JDM RHD 5MT twin-turbo…bone stock and low miles. Hobby or a sickness? LOL Can’t wait to get it up on the lift and ensure it is road ready for summer fun.
It’s a sickness….
I collect Toyotas! ![]()

i separated my shoulder and broke 5 ribs and I was lifting weights. I had to lift light and my shoulder muscles are strong enough to hold my shoulder in place . I’m 85 and still lift and ride a bicycle.
My grandfather used to smoke a pipe and one of my best buds loves cigars.
My Granddad had a Dolphin, he used to drive around the west going from golf course to golf course. He called it the… wait for it…
You Guessed It…
The Golfin Dolphin.

Gotta love dad jokes!
Brother here is the thing about pipe smoking, the tobacco is super cheap, the pipes and lighters we use not so much. I am a pipe smoker and it’s one of my greatest pleasures, something many will never understand is why I sit on my porch when the weather is just right and smoke a pipe while reading my book. Like firearms that will certainly not be the only pipe you purchase.
I slowed on cigars and took up pipes about 10 years ago. I don’t have a pipe too often these days, but it’s a hobby not unlike gun collecting and shooting. There’s no limit to the variety of pipes you’ll own, and tobaccos you’ll end up trying. To me, pipe smoking is one of the most relaxing ways to end the day.
Beautiful pipe!
Miniatures gaming, its got a lot of parts all the way from building them, painting them, and playing the game itself I find it very fun.
Other ones are just video gaming, watching videos, and reading stuff from Warhammer 40K lore to WW2 info.
What if the real guns were the friends we made a long the way?
(I’m sorry that was a horrible joke)
Sounds interesting…
Do you have photos you want to share?
I’ll try to take some when I get home. I am mainly into Flames of War do to being a WW2 enthusiast.
Another impulse buy, outback trading Gibson hat that was on sale
(I hate to pay full price)
Unlike the Stetson, it’s not crushable
I think it’s my new Sunday and workday favorite
Indiana Jones
Interesting, I’ve seen a few marketed as Indy’s but they don’t look like that—now that I’m paying more attention to the brim, crown, etc.
More of a passion than a hobby.
Finally got my new ham shack setup, had to wait 2 weeks for a single 99 cent part to make everything perfect but it arrived today and I am still on the air.
Is Stetson the standard by which all other hats are measured?
I remember the first time I wore a hat at work and first comment was, “ is that a Stetson?”
Thanks for the detailed response.
Trust me they’re not big
even if within the last 30 days, I’ve bought four hats
the only pricey one was the Stetson.
