Hey Bobby, I saw The Fabulous Thunderbirds and ZZ Top warm up for the Rolling Stones in the Cotton Bowl (Dallas) on Halloween Day 1981. It rained so hard I had to swim thru some of the streets to get back to my car! It was great! I was in the 3rd row center stage for The Fabulous Thunderbirds and ZZ Top. The people that actually had tickets for my 3rd row center stage position showed up and kicked me back to my nose bleed seats just before the Stones took the stage ![]()
Micro Processor Thermal Controller. Uses predictive logic to stay ahead of the temperature curve. My test stand, the plastic container is capable 200C with a repeatability of:

Might be a Better Alternative to PC Case cooling…
The MCU Code C++ I did, I’ve messed around with C/C++ fora quite a while now. The graphs and data collection, Python, that was 100% AI. I don’t know Python, I don’t like Python…
I did a little bit of low level programming (dbase III Plus for old f@rts like me). I was on track to learn more but had to change jobs for my young family.
A hobbyist I befriended (he was in his early 80’s and passed away couple years ago) had a 4’ plane take off using about a quarter of a mile of our empty street. Gutsy I thought considering how busy our residential neighborhood is. He suggested a store near my work where he said I can get started by starting in the $200 range. I would have gotten the bug if his health didn’t deteriorate.
The evolution of drones, and the subsequent involvement of the FAA in the hobby were additional factors in me moving away from flying.
As I’m dabbling with getting back into another expensive ass hobby (traded RC for guns, now looking back at RC)
I’m looking more into the fpv, which was a thing when I got out in 2015, and has improved massively since then.
