Even if you look at the research conducted and funded by people with a clear anti gun agenda they admit to 50k to 100k defensive gun uses per year. That’s a lot of people protecting themselves from severe bodily injury or worse.

But those numbers are obvious under estimations. My gut feeling based on the various research I have read in the past is the number is likely somewhere between 500k and 1.5m per year.
