There is a whole pecking order from our side inline for succession if the POTUS is incapacitated from preforming his duties.
Starting with the Vice President, Vance who is not a word salad sock puppet, he is very articulate, sharp, and quick.
It’s a long list and goes through the whole cabinet.
Eighteen others to also be exhausted among the replacements in that line up.
None of which, are any slouches in their own right as they all dished it right back at the snarky democrats conducting their badgering to try to get the nomination candidates rattled enough to trip them up, and to their credit they stood their ground in style, and fended them off.
No soft ball questions like the sock puppets got interviewing leading up to the election who never would have withstood the same nearly as well.

Lol have u seen the unedited 60 minutes interviews with Trump and with Harris?? They are so cut to make him sound bad, and even with the questions ahead of time, they had to edit her responses to get rid of “most” of the word salad… and she still sounded ridiculous, and needed 61 minutes to air!
