Elon had invested a lot in his Tesla (EV) electric vehicles that were mandated to phase out gasoline vehicles.
But, Trumps Big Beautiful Bill killed the EV mandates to replace gas vehicles.
Elon lost a lot big time, and called it the Bug Ugly Bill.
That’s why he broke with Trump.
