The comedian has a point, even my .50 means next to nothing against an armored personnel carrier, much less a tank….
And is utterly useless against a predator drone flying 20,000 feet up shooting hellfire hypersonic missiles at me….
However, Colion has an even more powerful point, which is that asymmetrical warfare is very real, and my .50 would never be pointed at a tank or a drone…. Id be likely to do more damage with one of my many .22s in all reality.

Colions point about the founding fathers allowing individual citizens the ability to amass literal warships is not wrong!
The 2A was intended to keep the citizens armed the same as the government.
That right has been massively eroded and outright violated at this point.

Sac Sheriff: CCW UPDATE FOR SACRAMENTO COUNTY RESIDENTS
Assembly Bill 1948 (AB 1948) was recently signed into law and, beginning January 1, 2027, standard California CCW licenses may be issued for up to three years, an increase from the current two-year license term.
If you already have a CCW license, it will remain valid until the expiration date printed on your permit. Existing licenses will not automatically be extended to three years. New and renewal CCW licenses issued on or after January 1, 2027, may be eligible for the new three-year term, provided all statutory requirements are met.
While the license term is changing, the eligibility requirements are not. Background checks, firearms training, and all other requirements under California law will remain in effect.
