Is it just me or is there a kind of LULL settling over the Country?
Yes, Gun sales (depends on who you read are up, down, flat-lining) but the constant barrage of attacks seems to this poster to be having a negative effect of the American Citizen. I personally don’t want to buy another Gun these days . Not that I don’t have a Wish List (I do) but I just don’t want the hassle or stress of dealing with the .gov Bureaucracy these days.
I think (for me) the Hurricane’s (NC and now Florida) and the growing lack of response (or caring) to help from our wonderful .gov has really zapped any kind of
passion for life lately, I seem to be existing day to day waiting…waiting for the next ‘Event’, waiting for the next Black Swan, waiting for this Fabulous Election on November 5th.
The reason I posted this Ammoland article is some folk’s still need weapons for PROTECTION. I’m sure it’s not all Hunter’s gearing up for the Season, Even this article states the growing disconnect between us and the Elite’s governing (or NOT Governing) anymore. If the above is really true, then I now understand the melancholy I am experiencing daily , am I alone in this? (I think not) I just wrote a Brother here thinking out loud even on this forum it seems a little ‘Flat’ to me lately. (Now that is prolly just me talking) But it’s just seems like this is all going to happen however way it plays out because we just all seem to take it. *Some roll with it, some don’t. I don’t see the history of this country and the Founder’s ‘Taking it’.

No, brother man. You are not alone. I mentioned in a different thread, that I think it’s coming between now and the election. I feel this so strongly, I checked all of my supplies. Laid in more. Updated what I needed to update, even added or strengthened additional barricades to Strong Point my homes “Cover, not Concealment” defensive positions. There is a difference.
I even bought my wife a new firearm. Im not ashamed to say that I’m worried. I am ashamed of one thing only,

I would say that’s right Don102 ( I think that’s the starter of this thread or conversation ( I have a two step memory now a days, I take two steps and I forget what I was thinking about ) but just the threat of “ Her “ actually becoming the commander in chief………,sorry had to puke…is enuf to cause what happened when that other …… guy, that exchange student got in and that is the run to the shops.
You know that I agree with your sentiments on the state of the state. At this point I’m done screaming at the top of my lungs as the storm howls above my voice. I now worry only about what arrives on my doorstep or what directly I’m directly confronted with when in public.

I started earlier this year. There are so many freaking things to get done. Backup generator came yesterday and I now I need a supply of LNG/propane and plug in. I already have a backup propane heater, looks like we are going to get the first frost of the year next week. Hold on to your hats, I think this winter is going to be a rough one. We’ve had two mild winters in a row, third time is a charm.
I have a week’s worth of food already, want more. Damn it sucks catching up.

I don’t know what I would do with more guns unless it would be to sell or trade/barter with them, bugging out is not even a possibility unless you have something set up on your own property and being a foot away from God knows who in the woods somewhere is just crazy. Me thinks the bugging out craze is about over and I’m glad because it’s crazy from the word go.
Then what will you have to defend yourself and or family? Keep a few for that then barter the others along with their ammo and extra ammo on hand. I don’t see how you can even think of getting rid of them in a SHTF situation.
