The poll (if polls can be believed) seems to be more about long term trends. The support for gun control still looks higher than support for 2A in this story, but the trends since 2018 are moving in the right direction. The article mentioned a few specific events that could affect support, but it never mentioned COVID-19 quarantines, a year of rioting, defunding the police, or record firearm sales.

bbbbut, they surveyed 1,007 adults…then pass judgement on how a nation thinks. I think I was personally responsible for the ending of public commentary on msm articles regarding “how Americans feel” about our politicians. There’d be an article “Americans hate Trump”…and in the small print, 1,018 people surveyed, by Quinnipiac or another liberal leaning "think"tank. Personally, I don’t answer phones, but had fun asking how 1,018 city dwellers represent “Americans.”
