Great Awareness Training

This morning as for quite awhile we check our security cameras outside the house before retrieving the newspaper from our box.
We saw this Panther strolling past by the mail and paper box’s.
Just a part of our awareness training, check an area and plan ahead for any possible threats.
WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW…

Is that cat big for its species? At first I thought it a polar bear. Whoah. Beauty.

  • Adult males may be more than 8 feet long (from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail), and can weigh between 130 and 150 pounds. Adult females can be 7 feet long and weigh between 65 and 90 pounds. Mountain Lions | US Forest Service

There is some geographic variation, but they are pretty good sized.animals.

Someone finally has real footage of Bigfoot! Mystery solved! Now if we could only find the aliens that put Brandon here…we could solve all our mysteries!
Nice capture!

@Scott52 ; Will someone make sure this gentleman is not handling a firearm till he’s checked out. LOL.

Photo looks somewhat pixelated because it’s a picture taken from the security monitor. Wasn’t going outside to get a better picture.

I don’t know where you live, but your feral cat problem looks kind of serious!

Daylight in the outyard — usually just overnight tracks in the snow or mud.

But I’m not in a suburban neighborhood.

Photo is from about 150yd by the time I got a camera after seeing the cat pass about 30yd from the back door. I’m pretty attentive in short terrain, and definitely on nighttime runs to the woodshed.
