Under capitalism Musk would not be getting Federal tax dollars, under US Socialism he does. Cry about Robinhood all you want, but Musk is the biggest welfare queen in the United States.

A news report I heard said the compromise was that the Republicans agreed the Senate would hold a vote specifically on extending the ACA benefits or not. Of course, republicans will vote no, but the Dems want the vote so every senator is on record voting no come mid term elections. I don’t know if that includes a house vote though.
This puts Mike Johnson in a tough position, because he now has to seat the new Arizona democrat, whose vote might be enough to support releasing the Epstien files.

The senate compromise also fully funds the Government Accountability Office, which Trump wants to shut down. Ironically, the GAO is mainly a watchdog for wasteful goverment spending, but it also has the ability to force the administrative branch to spend funds as directed by Congress, which Trump doesn’t like.

It’s so funny that the democrats blamed the republicans for the shut down, but were then upset at Schumer for caving. Why are they now so upset that the republican shutdown came to an end???
They have no capacity to recognize their own hypocrisy, and refuse to recognize their own lies… the two primary traits of a democrat.

Every day reveals a new can of worms as they are opened. We just found out that California has issued over 17,000 CDL’s to illegals. This puts the safety of the entire country in jeopardy. California has gone completely rogue. Perhaps it’s time for a federal takeover of a state that totally disregards federal laws.

I used to be able to count on truck drivers as the most courteous on the road. There’s been a noticeable change, it’s more dangerous now than before, driving on CA-99 next to semi-trucks speeding like Honda Civics.

I imagine they’re in their home, kids murdered upstairs by an illegal felon….wife being let’s say attacked…. the dem dad would be, “just a minute girls, I need to ask about the Epstein files.” There is something seriously wrong with these people.

If Jack Smith wasn’t a complete moron and if he brought the Jan 6 and top secret document cases earlier, they would have gone to trial and Trump would have been convicted. But the idiot waited too long and Trump’s team was very successful in delaying them further so much so that the election happened first.
As far as the Epstein files, I’m sure Trump is all over them and it’s very bad for Trump, but I think those files are also very bad for a lot of people on both sides of the aisle and other powerful people, so they were buried - just like Jeffrey.

And I’m sure he didn’t think Trump would win an election after what happended, so maybe he didnt think he needed to hurry. And realistically, Trump would not have won the election if not for Biden and his handlers hiding his decline until the very last minute when it couldn’t be hidden anymore. If Biden stepped aside earlier (as he said he would) and the Dems had a real primary, the Dems would have won easily (becasue it wouldn’t have been Harris on the ticket). Trump only won by 1.5% of the vote, a very slim margin.
