Musk’s new compensation package was just approved by Tesla, which can exceed $1 trillion. That is $275 million per day, for 10 years. Do we understand the real problem now? People like Musk don’t need another tax break. Owners of big business can afford to pay their employees enough money so that the govt doesn’t have to subsidize their lack of payroll through SNAP and health insurance.

Now that the shutdown is looking to end I hope all of you who were struggling without your SNAP benefits get them sooner than later. I also hope your ACA costs don’t double which looks like the trade for your SNAP benefits.

A news report I heard said the compromise was that the Republicans agreed the Senate would hold a vote specifically on extending the ACA benefits or not. Of course, republicans will vote no, but the Dems want the vote so every senator is on record voting no come mid term elections. I don’t know if that includes a house vote though.
This puts Mike Johnson in a tough position, because he now has to seat the new Arizona democrat, whose vote might be enough to support releasing the Epstien files.
The senate compromise also fully funds the Government Accountability Office, which Trump wants to shut down. Ironically, the GAO is mainly a watchdog for wasteful goverment spending, but it also has the ability to force the administrative branch to spend funds as directed by Congress, which Trump doesn’t like.

Every day reveals a new can of worms as they are opened. We just found out that California has issued over 17,000 CDL’s to illegals. This puts the safety of the entire country in jeopardy. California has gone completely rogue. Perhaps it’s time for a federal takeover of a state that totally disregards federal laws.
