As a father of two daughters i always had and still have no issue giving my opinions to their boyfriends. I would never allow disrespectful actions from any of them both boys and girls.
One thing i would point out to my girls is anything that is said or done gets no better. That was always done in the direct face of the boys while pointed at him.
