Postal Matches, that is!
Just for fun, I signed up for one to mix up my range time repertoire.
All kinds of courses of fire are offered by various NRA affiliates and other organizations, shot at your leisure, the RSO signs off on the target which is mailed in (the Postal part) for scoring and possibly winning a patch or medal for the effort.
I was wondering if anyone here participated in these and maybe had some advice to offer?

Got me worried there for a second ![]()
That’s nice, not as pressure-packed as when competition’s watching you.
How did you sign up?

Check out the various websites.
AFAIK there are two types.
The usual postal matches are found on websites like the NRA and CRPA and the like
FWIW, the USAR also runs postal matches.
There are also challenge postal matches sponsored by NRA/Winchester and state affiliates that only require shooting a specified score in the specified course of fire for an award (the lowest awards are more like a participation trophy, LOL!)
