Glock COA

Anyone get their hands on a Glock COA yet? I’m somewhat intrigued. I haven’t moved to a red dot yet. Price is high but when you break down gun + optic it’s not bad.

That optic looks huge! Wonder how it affects concealment.

I’m STRONGLY considering getting a 43x. Great combo!!!

Will probably purchase in the next few years. My old eyes have trouble with irons.

I do t think it’s any larger than a standard enclosed emitter. Theres overhang on the 43x and 48. I’m not sure if that’s a big deal or not. I’m kind of more interested in a 19.

This is why I struggle moving to a red dot. I need to learn how to use the red dot before carrying it. I’m thinking get my HD 19X set up with a red dot first, and once comfortable move to red dot on my 43x. Thats a lot of money though. Then, on top of that, I need new holsters to accommodate the dot. Lots of money.

I’ve considered getting that new Rugar RXM and putting an optic on it, but honestly I don’t think that’s a whole lot cheaper than buying a 19 COA.

Im still working on getting used to a RDO. I wouldnt mind a 19x with a dot myself but it can wait.

The optics is larger than usual but it does not effect concealment in anyway at all at least not on me and I carry all day long

I have the Holosun 407k on my 43. Very little overhang. Huge improvement in quick target acquisition especially with my less than ideal eyesight. I had the slide cut to have the optic replace the rear sight. Sits nice and flush. Also recommend the green dot over red.

I just took a dremel and very fine sand paper to my kydex holster to accommodate it.

Welcome Try fiber optics, I started having hard time with iron sights and now my EDC has fiber optic and works well for me. Just a thought,

For those thinking about RDS for their guns.

1-THEY HAVE A TRAINING CURVE!!!

2- And RDS guns have ZERO forgiveness for sloppy draws.

If you are committing to one you have to commit to a whole lot of PRACTICE, and I’m talking thousands of repetitions.

BUT, if you are willing to do this, you will never go back…

This is why I kind of want to pick up a system like the COA. Totally separate gun from my carry or HD. Allows me to learn the system then eventually transition that gun into one of those roles.

I just have a hard time biting the price right now. I have other things on the list before a red dot upgrade.

Buy one of these to practice with, then when you are acclimated to the red dot melt it down and turn it into a keychain ring😉
