I’ve been walking about five to ten miles a day with a 12 mag chest rig,a plate carrier my side arm a large fixed blade and my AR. This wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I’m trying to get used to this and make it normal again so when (it) happens maybe one more little bit of an edge. At my age I need all I can get.
@Trever1 You can only do you and yours good by training again.
Just when we thought we could rest.
I think I figured it out… The Wolf/Sheepdog always makes the sheep nervous.
Brother you need to keep on doing what you are doing. You are most likely doing better than me and many others. DO NOT LET UP!
Smart training, @Trever1. An acquaintance of mine put himself on a similar regimen. After a while he added a rucksack, gradually adding weights until he reached what he figured was his practical limit. It worked well for him, it should for you, too.
I’ll add more ammo and gear as I get more used to it. I’m 59 but better overall shape that when I was thirty. Definitely added a canteen to my current load out tho. It’s hotter than hell around here right now.
Maybe a Camel pack. My bugout gear bags have those built in with a tube to drink from. I used mine with Pedialyte when I was training.
Keep up the training brother @Trever1 and stay in shape. Keep your head on a swivel because even the bad guys train.
