I think if controlled fusion becomes a reality it will not be cheap. The light isotopes used to fuel it in quantities needed for sustained reactions will not be cheap. Also the amount of energy needed to start the reaction will not be cheap. We will need fission nuclear plants to provide energy for the initial nuclear reactions and production of hydrogen 3 (Tritium.)

I will feel the impact in my wallet before I receive a dime from an investment, and then the gov’t will find to tax the rest of what I don’t have because of it, while my power bill grows. I’m so not excited.

They need to have paper to have picture a happy family consisting of models with their arms around them in a green field with a blue sky happy that “widget corp.” has come up with a green solution to the world’s energy problems. The woman in it will be very attractive, also they will have the ubiquitous photo of a hot looking brunette woman in a dark business suit, glasses and a white blouse holding a pencil up to her lips while reading various documents with graphs. That is very important to a companies IPO success.
