Free Syria? Yea right…

Well sometimes it’s the Devil you know like what about Syria now? Yet another power vaccume over there for the taking ? It seems to me that when someone is in power for so long no one else has any idea as to what to do when it comes to running a country because if you even acted like you tried to learn it’s off with your head no trial or anything and all anyone can do it jump around on the streets waving and fireing their AKs. Yet another mess in the Middle East . Go home and try to figure out what to do instead of jumping around stirring up dust.

Only happened in Iran after Pahlavi, Iraq, Syria, and Libya. Only in that part of the world.

What’s the common denominator?

There’s some Syrian citizens in the mix, but wasn’t this largely the same extremists who originally formed ISIS who just ousted Assad? I haven’t thought about this so much as who will focus on running a country as it is now a playground for terrorists who want to establish a caliphate to dominate the Middle East and then the rest of the world. I think it’s going to be a huge cluster for quite a while.

An interesting thing is that when islame was conquering large areas, they realized they didn’t know how to run a gubment or the cities efficiently. In order to bring back a semblance of normalcy the conquerors kept parts of the old administration in tact to run the city and bring in taxes. IIRC my source is Pfander films.

Common denominator is they are all of a certain belief ( I won’t call it a religion ) that does little more in life than jump around burning flags and effigies of anyone that doesn’t believe in the exact things that they do. That’s my opinion anyway.
When my son was in Iraq he said most of the fighters they killed there were Syrians

Knowing the truth of what happened there I had to stop watching the movie 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi halfway through it because I could hardly contain the seething anger that was rising in me. I literally had to stop and calm myself down so I could finish the film.

When I watched it for the first time, I consciously did not try to figure out who survived and who did not—I was rooting for “our guys.” Imagine my anger as the terrorists start getting the upperhand while our government delayed dilly-dallied. :rage:
