My lady and I are headed to dinner and then The Jeff foxworthy concert at the casino in baton rouge Louisiana. Aren’t allowed to carry in this venue. I’m going to feel naked! Guess I just keep my eyes up and be aware of my surroundings. Especially to and from parking. I understand the reasoning of the state but at the same time it doesn’t make me feel more secure.
Is it a State law or do the have signs stating no weapons allowed?
I went to the SteelFist fights last night, same thing, they wand everyone at the doors. My buddy locked his firearm up in his car but forgot to leave his extra mag, they actually let him in with it.
@Karacal In Utah Gun Free Zones like these do Not have the force of law behind them so it comes down to, if you have a gun they can refuse your entry and ask you to leave the property, if you don’t leave they can have you cited for trespassing.
State law one of the excluded places since they serve alcohol open in all areas of the casino
Same with Indian casinos in CA.
Interesting, Bars are not excluded, you can carry in a Bar, but don’t drink. Intoxicated and carrying a firearm is frowned upon.
It is the trifecta of sin-laws created by the state to control your base instincts.

You are going to a casino. The state has long held beliefs that gambling is immoral and attracts organized crime and people are prone to become addicted to gambling. But, not like the Lottery, which is owned and operated by government. Hence, you should not bring a firearm into a casino.

You are going into a venue that serves alcohol. The state knows that drinking is bad for you, attracts organized crime and people are prone to become alcoholics and engage in domestic violence. Hence, you should not bring a firearm into an establishment that serves alcohol.

You are going to a comedy club, where people could be offended by the performance and resort to violence. Hence, you should not bring a firearm to a comedy club, especially one featuring red-neck Jeff Foxworthy.
It’s for your own good, and the state knows what’s best for you.
Well we had a great time. Foxworthy put on a great show. We were 11 rows back from center stage but neither of us stop the venues that great really spread out did a number on my back and my knee.
We did get to see a cat fight between two drunk women when one came in late and couldn’t stop running her mouth trying to get to her seat. Apparently another woman told her to shut the f up and sit down. That’s been all hell broke loose. It was funny foxworthy just looked over shook his head and told another joke! Foxworthy also gave a plug for supporting the second amendment and then from there went into a joke about maybe his 86-year-old grandmother should not get her carry permit that she applied for. Had to do with some of her physical limitations like legal blindness. It was funny and I didn’t find it condescending at all.
