Not the first time Atlanta has burned down.
That is crazy.
This is sad but I knew it would come to this. The mayor makes a choice to ban police pursuits then the cops are judged as negligent in their duties. The police have lost their powers to do the job. The way they are being targeted nowadays can you blame them. They are just following the rules and new protocol. You want to defund and disband police departments, this is what you get. Few years back the cops would’ve shot it out with these thugs and made the ultimate sacrifice, but not any more. It’s going to get worse. We need to start praying so God can make the changes we need to live in a better world.
Is the murder charge still active against Atlanta officer who shot the suspect shooting a taser and running away? That’s is your answer, right there.
I hope people of Atlanta enjoying “social justice”.
I am not for defunding the police but I am totally against the racial profiling, unnecessary killings by cops and the gang bangers in blue thinking they are above the law. I am not against LEO’S, I even wanted to be in law enforcement when I was younger and fresh out of the service. I took and passed Chicago police exam 3 times since 1984 but was passed over for 2 reasons. The first being, they took the passing score of black males andade their female quote. The second time I had not registered to vote so that stop me from getting on. I even tried twice in the small spot in Tennessee which I live in and even here their reasons was massed up, the chief told me since he did not know me personally, he could not hire me. Go figure
Lu-Can, I can understand the outrage against the Cops, one bad apple can destroy the whole group. I to wanted to be a Cop, LAPD, in fact. Passed over for two reasons, 1. I had to live in L.A. proper, but I had just bought a house in Orange County. The next time I was passed it was because of ethnic and gender reasons.
Time marched on and I completed school and became a Mechanical Engineer in the Aerospace business, but my respect for the men and women of Law Enforcement never varied.
In the current atmosphere of Damned if you do or Damned if you don’t, I don’t know if I could do the job.
One day of being a Cop in a large city is tough. Cops go to work with the hopes of going home at the end of the shift, a criminal is by definition, planning on breaking the law.
While I am not perfect, I try to treat everyone with respect, but I will bow down to no man.
