Wouldn’t it be nice to have an attorney available on hand and have his business card?
“Attorney Shield” is available. Though I haven’t tried it, I have heard some good things about it.
USCCA my first time w/ gun insurance.
Hope I never have to use it.
I’m now 60 and have carried concealed and open for my entire adult life. Never had to draw on anyone. Good.
All my fighting thus far has been bare bones or with bats and sticks and once a pipe I found on the scene.
And life is good.
But, you are an expert with a knife. I thought.
Gentle teasing brother man , gentle teasing.
I’m not an expert at anything at all, actually. I make no such claims. I just tell it like I see it. We don’t need be experts to protect successfully. All we need is to master a bit of skill and intent. I’m living proof.
My primary weapon is my brain. All the rest of it is just a bunch of snap-on tools.
My only experience with knife fighting in real time has been taking down suspects with knives and boxcutters. One carrying a box cutter, an illegal alien, was sticking up older folks in a casino I was working unarmed. I approached and saw him with the weapon in his hand, talking to an elderly woman. I just stepped in and front snap kicked him in the pelvic cavity, knocking him on his ass and across the floor, cuffing and detaining him for the cops. We locked him up for a while. Another one lost all his money at the blackjack table and pulled a knife on a dealer and tried to flip the table over. I blindsided him and knocked the knife out of his hand via smashing his forearm with my ulna and tackled him, cuffed him, dragged him to jail. So, I’ve done much stuff like that over the years. But, I’m no “knife fighter” nor “knife expert” and make no claims to be. I just know what I can do and I’m not afraid to use it. I’m just a person who strives to stay adequately agile, strong and trained for moments like these. At 60, I’m still going strong. Dunno how much longer fate, situations, health, etc. will let me stay this way, but I’ll take all I can get and I am grateful to my master in the Heavens for that and for the mission I am assigned.
I’m one of those jack of all trades – master of none types. I learn enough to get me where I need to go and that’s good enough for me.
That old knife discussion was about stabbing vs. slashing. I’m still convinced stabbing is more efficient!!
So far – so good!
Oh! And luck counts, too!
Cheers!
I miss Paul.
Me, too, man. I was a subscriber for years. That guy was one scientific son-of-a-b#tch if there ever was one.
Godspeed, Paul Harrell.
