Feels pretty great … But havent shot it sinse … I can tell you the grip is very grippy. Im not sure how 200 rnds at the eange would go on the hands yet.
Sorry commented below
Right on the $ there!
That’s some fine craftsmanship. How does it feel after 300 rounds?
Not sure yet i just got it finished and havent had the opertunity to hit the range. Its very grippy though lol. Im just goping it dosent shread skin after a few hundred rounds.
You can always smooth the stippling with sand paper.
I’m sure your grip is better now than before the job.
When I first installed my 1911 VZ Operator II Grips, I went to the range for my normal regimen of 198 rounds. When they removed the gun from my hands the grips impression was still there after three days. Not exactly bloody but close.
What I learned is no matter what, my weapon will never leave my hands. It took about 5 weeks to get real comfortable with these extremely aggressive grips. But that’s the whole point. Rain, sweat or blood I will always be able to maintain a good grip on my weapons. Think I became a better shot. Smooth grips lead to mishaps and a tighter squeeze, I just hook my Grips into my hands now and I’m good to go. Hope you get to range soon. I haven’t been since February 29. Closed. Stay safe and healthy.
Thank you for the insight! Im excited to try it out. I squeeze my grips and lock my left pointed finger in under my trigger finger so grip was never a huge issue. Although im physically prerry tired after 200 rnds at the range bedore it atarts taking away accuracy so i stop there. It was just for looks but im excitednto see how the grip performs. It qas pretty grippy stock.
You’re gonna love the feel once you start shooting again. Grandson did same to the G43 Glock. I almost bought it from him after 10 rounds. But I’m one of those die hard 1911 guys.
