I’m only 9 minutes into this video, but it is amazing! They film bullets exiting muzzle and impact at millions of frames per second. It’s 26 minutes long so sit back and enjoy. All I’ve watched so far is a 45. The gas out running the bullet kind of reveals how “slow” a 45 bullet comes out of the barrel.
Great video to watch and I enjoyed it a lot. Thx for posting it.
I’m wondering if they plan to show bullets impact at flesh. That would be super informative.
Is this a Babylon Bee video? Never mind I am guessing that is frames per second not feet per second.
On my cell, so not watching the video here, but this recalled the video I watched of an M14 barrel looking like it was rubber as the 7.62x51 round made it’s way down and out.
Couldn’t agree more. The problem is that shooting a roast or whatever is there is no hydraulic interaction. That is, a living organism has blood and fluids in the body. Fluid is non compressible. Drain the fluid and the interaction is not realistic. Like analyzing the effects of your brakes on your car with no brake fluid. It is however fascinating.
@Gary_H That’s a fantastic video, thanks for sharing. ![]()
