Well Well. Things didn’t go as planned.
Kyi lasted all 3 rounds but was really never in the fight, got knocked down twice in the first round and it was down hill from there. He lost a unanimous decision

Montes was even worse, he was straight up out classed. Our coach actually threw in the towel half way through the 2nd round.

Oh Well, back to the gym for them. Learn from the lose and move on to the next one.

They trained, they made weight (I assume), they got to the cage, faced their anxiety/nerves and put their effort into it. They left with an experience most will never know and one that they can learn and grow from.

Wishing them the best for their future bouts!

Thanks for the thoughts.
That’s exactly what I tell them. I have HUGE respect for anyone that will step into the cage and face another person in battle, most folks won’t do it.

The next fight, we have one guy fighting April 5th.
Le, he is a monster, benches 315, Dead Lifts 700, Has trained Muay Thai for many years. I’ve spared with this guy a few times, He Hits HARD, even when he’s going soft on an old man. Should be a good one…

Ya Know, at 65 YO, My brain tells me I can do it, BUT my body says “Don’t F**K Around Stupid”. I spar with these guys but my days of getting in with them are far behind me…

I’m sure that you could do better than the Tyson/Paul fight.
