@KURT17 Bicycle patrols were very common across most of Occupied Germany. In general they carried their Mauser’s slung over their backs but having one along the top tube wasn’t uncommon either. American’s were more fond of attaching a scabbard to the front forks and handle bars of motorcycles (we didn’t do many bicycles but some were flown in on gliders).
