Yet, it is still not a bullet-free zone. I was at the Richmond Capitol today for Lobby Day with the VCDL and the Democrats, 5 years ago, made the Capitol grounds and the sidewalks surrounding it a GFZ. Across the street were at least several hundred armed citizens. I don’t believe the metal rail fence will stop bullets. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: The handful of police in the area did not, in the least, appear worried, and just wore their normal uniforms. When they faced the Leftists during the Summer of Love, they wore riot gear.

That day, you are discussing revitalized my 2A advocasy. The Democrat Governor tried his hardest to fear monger the General Public, about gun owners. If I remember right had 0 arrests and 0 incidents. That Governor did everything and I mean everything to get something started.

Event Brite (Bus Transport Company) had stops all over the State to take people to Richmond. I know a lot of us from here donated money, to pay for seats on the bus, for any who wanted to go that couldn’t afford.

Funniest thing, and it really showed the differenç between Gun Owners protesting and the George Floyd protests going on around the Country. Gun Owners cleaned up after themselves.

I brought my wife to the range yesterday, her first since surgery on both hands. She was having fun but had to stop because her support (left) hand was beginning to hurt. Also, racking the slide is an issue.

We’ll have the 1911-22 next time. God forbid she has to defend herself, she can handle the VP9SK and fire off shot after shot confidently.

However, I’m looking at rimfire options for her.

Thoughts?

I have the .38 version LCR. It’s really harsh, 10-15 rounds and its back in the bag. I suspect the .22 version will be much more comfortable. The other thing, to me, is it’s so short that it’s really difficult to be very acurate past about 10 yards…

Shorty .22’s aren’t known for long range. I’d hope most folks understand that.

Distance was key to our training yesterday. I let her picture a threat she’s most likely shooting at less than 10 yards. She gets decent shots at 7 yards.
