I’ve revisited this Katmandu, Nepal outfit to look more closely at a sword that caught my attention, and to check options on it. The “Modern Combat Gladius” has a Pompeii-patterned blade with a wide, quillon cross-guard. You have optional blade-lengths - from 16-to-30 inches - in 2-inch increments. At 16 and 18, $30.00 and $15.00 are DEDUCTED from the price - at 20, there’s no deduction. At 22 inches, the price begins to go UP - from $20.00, and then in increments of $15.00. Satin and blacked/coated finishes are no charge, but a polished/mirror-finish will cost you $15.00. Rosewood is the standard handle material, with several others offered. Black, brown and blue leather scabbard colors are a $10.00 deduction - a ROSEWOOD scabbard will cost you $50.00! NO charge for yellow, red, or green leather. Some pieces will offer you a “raw’, or “forge”“ finish with a $10.00 deduction. This return has been a VERY instructive experience! FYI
