That’s the way to do charity. See a need, fill the need.
Too many people seem to think that charity requires an organization, a building, a leader. Not so. Just do one thing for one person today. And you don’t have to change their lives. Just lift a burden from their shoulders, lighten their load for a little while. Mow a lawn, shovel a driveway, help fix a flat, get shots for their dog…whatever. You don’t have to fix their entire lives. Most will be grateful, some wont; it doesn’t matter. What you do isn’t just for them. It also for you, and the community, and the universe at large.
Be a mensch.
