I am a CT licensed security guard. I also have may CT state pistol permit. I do NOT have a firearm endorsement to work in security. My part time job is working security for a local synagogue. Legally I cannot carry to this job. I would need to take an additional class and receive an endorsement. My understanding is the only way to get an endorsement would be through an armed-security service and that I would not be able to just get an endorsement on my own. So if this is correct, I would never be able to do “privately hired” armed security. Does ANYBODY have any experience with Califo…I mean Connecticut?
