Just wondering if anyone from northern Michigan can tell me there experience with wait times for the CPL. I’m on day 22 and I’m really anxious to carry since I’ve spent a bunch of money getting all my gear and training.

Hey Michael welcome to the site.
ours took about 14 days to go threw the process
we are in the Keweenaw [Houghton Co.] and there wasn’t a back log
of applicants.
might want to check in with the county clerk to see what’s going on

So I’ve called up there and was told they can’t tell me anything. I have to wait the 45 days and if nothing after that I can carry with the fingerprint receipt. I have noticed that the classes are filling up fast around here so maybe that’s the reason. Idk I’ll just keep being patient

Just another issue when people are required to obtain permission from a government bureaucrat to exercise a right that is theoretically guaranteed by the Constitution.

Update I just received my CPL in the mail this morning. It took 27 days. Thank you guys for your comments. Be safe and carry
