Cool 1911 at WWII Museum

I have been here a few times for work, finally went and spent some time looking around. Pretty impressive place for the size it is. https://chennaultmuseum.org/

Some very nice guns on display, I really liked this 1911:

Sweet! The firearms museum at Bass Pro in Springfield Missouri is awesome. The last time I visited they had the rifle from Quigley Down Under. The archery museum had a bow made by Geronimo. Very cool stuff.

I would really like to see that sometime Mike. Sounds wonderful. The closest Military Museum to me is the 1st Division Museum (Army) also more commonly known as Cantigny Memorial War Museum WWII, very interesting place takes a little longer than 1 hour to see but interesting things and interesting place.

In Berryville Arkansas, the Sanders Museum, they had a scalp belt, with scalps. Quite sobering.

Hundreds of guns… Lots of fun.

While not as cool as this. My first deployment to Iraq. I was issued the 9th M16A4 off the assembly line. SN# 10000009.
Nothing heroic or groundbreaking by any stretch but still kind of cool lol.
